What to ask a tesamorelin doctor

Bring the questions that matter to you. Leave space to write the answers.

Start by describing what brought you here. Then use the prompts below to keep the conversation clear. You can ask for an answer again, in shorter words.

Ask about the purpose and care plan

“What do you think explains my concern?”

“Does this goal fit tesamorelin’s approved use? If it does not, what evidence supports it?”

“What other ways of addressing this concern can we discuss?”

Ask which medicine is being discussed

“What is the full product name?”

“Which pharmacy would fill the prescription? How do I verify that pharmacy’s licence?”

As of September 28, 2026, the tesamorelin label names EGRIFTA SV and EGRIFTA WR as different forms that cannot replace each other.

Ask how follow-up will work

“Which tests would be needed, and what would each test tell us?”

“Who reads the results, and how will I hear back?”

“What would make us reconsider the plan?”

The label calls for blood sugar checks before care and from time to time after. During treatment it also calls for checks of IGF-1, a chemical message that helps cells grow.

Ask what you will pay

“Can I have an estimate that separates visits, medicine, tests and follow-up?”

“What happens to the bill if treatment does not go ahead?”

“What are the refill, cancellation and renewal terms?”
